Sam talks us through why independent contractors are important and why they might cost more than you’d think, and why that’s a good thing.
AMP reduces costs to you buy keeping a small, tight-knit staff in house and using independent contractors for client projects. This saves us money since we aren’t paying people to do nothing in-between jobs, and that saves YOU money since we don’t have to pass on that cost to compensate for their downtime.
We like to hire the best people for the job, that way we get the best lighting, shots, and use of time for your project. To get the best, we have to pay them to take them away from other well-paying jobs that they might get from the booming ATL movie industry. What this means is that your job that might take us 4 hours to shoot, could show up as a full day billing for that contractor. Paying them for a full day will actually save you money in the long run- the expertise of the contractors we hire will save you time and money because you won’t need re-shoots. They can foresee any complications that may come up and compensate for them ahead of time due to their skill and experience.
