What’s the difference between Titles & Motion Graphics? Both are text that appears in the video, and while they have similarities, they are actually very different.

Titles are simply text that usually appears or “pops” on screen. It’s often used for the video’s credits, its title, and other simple text.

Motion graphics are more complicated; think of it like animation. The text moves and flows, can split or warp, or elegantly fall into place. If the text is moving in some way, it’s usually Motion Graphics.

But how are these different? Well, Titles are easy. You pick your font, type in your text, set the size and choose the time it should appear on screen. Motion graphics are a bit more complicated. They function like titles, but with the additional step of animating the text to move, flow, and do what it needs to do. Due to this, motion graphics can cost more than simple titles, as it takes more time and skill (and another program) to create them.
